Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes Servings: 8–10 mini tacos
Ingredients
For the Big Mac Sauce
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp yellow onion, finely diced
- 1 tbsp sweet relish (or chopped pickles)
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt to taste
For the Tacos
- 1 lb ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)
- 8–10 mini flour tortillas (street taco size)
- 10 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 cup iceberg lettuce, finely chopped
- ½ cup pickles, sliced or chopped
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
1. Make the Big Mac Sauce In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, diced onion, relish, white vinegar, garlic powder, black pepper, smoked paprika, and salt. Stir until smooth and well combined. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes so the flavors develop.
2. Prepare the Smash Tacos Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and lightly grease with oil.
Take 2–3 tablespoons of ground beef and place it in the center of each tortilla. Using your hands or a spatula, press the beef down firmly into a thin, even layer covering most of the tortilla. Season the top with a pinch of salt.
3. Cook the Tacos Place the tortilla meat side down in the hot skillet. Press firmly with a spatula. Cook on medium-low heat for 4–5 minutes until the beef is nicely browned and crispy. Flip and cook the tortilla side for 1–2 minutes until golden and crispy. Cook in batches if needed.
4. Assemble While the taco is still hot, add a slice of cheddar cheese so it melts slightly. Top with chopped lettuce, pickles, and a generous drizzle of Big Mac sauce.
Pro Tips
- Press the beef very thinly for the best crispy texture.
- Use 80/20 ground beef for maximum flavor and juiciness.
- Make the sauce ahead — it tastes even better the next day.
- For extra Big Mac vibes, add a few extra diced onions on top.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan — give each taco space to crisp up properly.
